Our Instructors are the best of the best. Learn all about them here!

I’ve had a life-long love affair with crafting that started well before I was sewing my own Barbie clothes at age 10.   Now that I’ve retired from Critical Care Nursing and Human Resource director of our family business, I’ve had the opportunity to craft full-time.  Even though I’ve been scrapbooking for over 30 years I’m learning something new every day about paper crafting and loving it more and more.  I have been an Instructor at The Scrapbook Store since 2012.

You name the craft, I probably have dabbled in it at some point.  I would describe my style as vintage eclectic, always challenging myself to try something new or outside my crafting comfort zone.  I enjoy “upcycling” thrift store finds and turning trash into treasure.  I collect broken jewelry, watches, buttons and vintage ephemera and try to incorporate them into my projects.  At times I have been known to go “bling” crazy!

My favorite scrapbooking paper lines are Graphic 45 and Teresa Collins.  I’ve moved from traditional 12″ x 12″ scrapbook pages to making my own mini albums from scratch and a lot more altered art/mixed media.  I also enjoy card making and try to turn all my left over paper into cards for Operation Write Home.

I’m excited to be reaching one of my life goals of teaching and sharing my creative vision with others and gone beyond my hopes and dreams to now being an owner of a Craft store.

I have been blessed to have taught at “The Scrapbook Store” for four years and now I am starting my 5th year of teaching at the new “The Scrapbook Store and More”. While I am best known for my Vintage Yardstick classes, I have taught many other classes, mostly altered arts and vintage themed projects and layouts - which I absolutely love! I am very excited at the prospect of learning and teaching new techniques/mediums and hope that our customers are too!

I started scrapbooking in 2002, after a dream trip to London and Ireland, where I took 13 rolls of film and over 350 pictures. This resulted in my first two completed 12 x 12 albums and I haven’t stopped since. I also love traveling, fashion, all animals, and I am a thrift store/vintage junkie.

I have been married to my soul mate, Mark for 25 years. He not only scrapbooks himself, but occasionally helps me with my larger classes and my design business. I also have two animal kids:  a 10 year old rescue pug, Roxie, and a 21 year old cockatoo, Shasta, who keep me on my toes and are often the subjects of my projects.

My prior career as a hospice social worker continues to inform my current work and life. I learned many valuable lessons from my dying patients and their families - the greatest lesson being that life is an extremely valuable gift and unfortunately often too short. It is up to each one of us to use this gift wisely and live each day to its fullest and best -however we decide that is for us. My greatest hope is, that through my classes and projects, I can inspire students to become more creative and above all - to have lots of fun designing and creating! My scrapbooking motto is:  “If it isn’t fun….it isn’t worth doing”.

I have been crafting for over 20 years, and refer to myself as an ADHD crafter because I have so many interests.  I started scrapping about 15 years ago after a friend begged me to attend a class with her.  Playing with pretty paper and matching embellishments hooked me immediately!  Since then I have ventured on to card-making, jewelry, home decor, and fabric crafts.  My style is decidedly girlie, with a heavy emphasis on shabby chic and vintage.  Besides teaching classes, I also sell my crafts at local events such as Hawthorne Hill Farm and Holy Hill Art Farm.

My husband, Jason, and I have been married for over 15 years and have 3 kitty owners who let us live in their house.  I grew up in Milwaukee but have spent the last 13 years in Denver, Colorado.  We recently moved back to be closer to family.  I am a recovering elementary school teacher, so teaching is in my blood.  I am really excited to share my skills and ideas with you!

P.S. -- Don't tell my husband, but I would totally run off with Tim Holtz just to have access to his art studio!

Sheri F.

I am married with children, two boys Jordan who will soon be 17 and Logan who is 10. I work full time for Walgreens, for the last 24 years. I have held several positions throughout my career including Bookkeeper, SIMS Coordinator, Store Team Lead and currently Assistant Store Manager Trainee.

I have been scrapbooking for 8 years, I got peer pressured into it by Beth and Penny. It's all their fault. Shortly after I started scrapbooking I started teaching classes at the old location by Southridge. I love teaching classes and have a pretty laid back approach, it's a hobby and should be fun not stressful. I have a little bit of a following, which I love! I am currently a Local Designer for Bella Blvd and was invited to join the Jillibean Soup Design Team last Fall.

I am an independent consultant for Memory Works and am an Assistant Team Leader for their TeamWorks, sort of a design team/consultant support. This past June I was invited to teach at their I Heart Memories Retreat in Utah! I had the time of my life (my scrapbooking life) and met so many amazing people. I assisted in classes taught by Amy Tangerine, Jen Gallagher, KC Birmingham (mme), Simple Stories, BoBunny, Teresa Collins Designs and I might be missing a few. I have my own personal blog The Desperate Scrapper. If I could be a professional scrapbooker... I wish! Oh, and I like to pretend that I am a photographer, my kids really like that!

Some of my more popular classes are Sweet & Simple Cards and my yearly 8x8 calendar class. My favorite holiday to scrap is Halloween and my favorite season is Fall (surprise!).

My favorite product lines are..Simple Stories, Jillibean Soup and Bella Blvd.  I am also liking the newer lines that Pebbles, Doodlebug, Echo Park, Carta Bella and Authentique have been releasing as well as some of their older stuff.

I wish I had time for additional hobbies, but someone has to do the laundry and cook dinner. Someday...

Sherry M.

I’m Sherry M. and I have been scrapbooking since 1997 which sounds like I should have completed many years but I am far behind in documenting my life journey. Recently I began using the Project Life format which is a simple doable scrapbook method. So, there is a light at the end of my scrapbook tunnel!

I am a wife and mother of three. My favorite subjects to scrapbook are my three grandsons.

Classes I teach are Ink N Stamp I, II, and III, mixed media classes like art journaling and ATC’s, and Distressing classes featuring Tim Holtz products.

You can find me on my blog or playing on Pinterest.

Hello! My name is Quinn and I have enjoyed scrapbooking for about seventeen years. A friend invited me to aCreative Memories party and from that moment on, I was hooked! I'm the perfect candidate because I have five children and more pictures than I could ever scrap in a lifetime.

My favorite tools to use while being creative are Mr. Huey sprays, various stamps, wood veneers and Thickers.  I also can't live without American Craft paper lines and Studio Calico embellishments.

Luckily, I am part of the creative team/staff at The Scrapbook Store & More. Not only is my job tons of fun, but I also get the chance to help others "create" as well.
